Managing Director 

Conrad Caspari is the Director of Agri-food and Bioenergy Consulting Ltd.  He is based in London and has a BA in Philosophy, Politics and Economics and a MSc. in Agricultural Economics from Oxford University. He worked for the Food and Drink Industries Council and the Economist Intelligence Unit in London before joining the Agra CEAS Consulting Ltd. in 1986. He was Managing Director of this company for 15 years before setting up an independent consultancy.  

Over the years, he has gained considerable experience in the operation of food and agricultural policies and industries globally as well as commodity sectors and related bioenergy, environmental, market, technology and trade issues. He has directed well over 500 projects both in the EU-28 and worldwide for both the agri-business sector (business impact assessments and due diligence work) as well as for national and international institutions (WTO, World Animal Health Organisation (OIE), European Commission, European Parliament).  He has extensive experience of projects in the food chain usually involving stakeholder consultation, most notably for the European Commission (DG AGRI) where he has led the evaluations of various market organisations as well as conducting over 25 policy impact assessments and evaluations as part of the Food Chain Evaluation Consortium (FCEC) under a framework contract with the European Commission’s Directorate General for Health and Consumers (DG SANCO). Conrad is a native speaker of English and German and is fluent in French, Spanish and Portuguese.
